Personal comments:

This is Krista McGee's third novel, and it's getting better and better! Her light and easy writing style, the way she brought the characters to live, which I felt connected to the characters when I went though the book! I actually felt sorry for Brian when Natalie tried to push him away. However I can't get angry with Natalie, cause she is such a kind and lovable girl. And how I missed Addy!! Again Krista, you have nailed it!

I rated this book 4 out of 5 stars, and will definitely recommend it to my friends!

Personal Comments:

I always enjoy Collen's novels, it often interwines with crimes, suspense and romance, the twist and turn of the story never stop my excitement of slipping the pages! I love Libby and Nicole, both have strong characters, tough and preseverance. I grow to like Tidewater Inn too, I can imagine it's a cosy and warm place for close friends and family to spend their vacation.

I'll definitely recommend the book to my friends, which I have already done.
I rate this book 4 out of 5 stars.

Comment:

If you have read Fist Date by Mcgee, and you like it, you will certainly enjoy reading this book. Kara's friend Addy and Jonathan were the main character adopted from the former story. I always love Kara, ever since I have read the First Date. She was a very optimistic girl with lots of positive characteristic. I wish I was Addy, with a friend like Kara who always make my days. This book couldn't stop painting a smile on my face. I had already recommended to a few friends and certainly reckon it deserves a 4 stars out of 5.

Published by Thomas Nelson

Book Description:

Carrie Daly is a kind and beautiful young widow, her beloved husband Frank had perished during the civil war. Griff Rutledge is a Southern gentleman but he certainly not a family man, he was adventurous and mysterious, he planned to leave for Australia after collecting her debts in Hickory Ridge. Both met in an accident, in which Griff saved Carried from running down by a black colt.  While Carrie didn't get along with her sister in laws and her step-nephews, she moved to a run down motel. At the mean time, Griff accepted the offer from banker Mr. Gilman to train his Thoroughbred.

Ever Since Carrie met Griff, she had thoroughly drawn to his charm and kindness. Whilst uncertain with her feeling for current 'boy friend' Nate Chastain, the latter gave up on her and married her housemate- Rosaleen( A stunningly beautiful 'con girl'). It was devastating for Carrie at first, but life moves on. Carrie was again moved back to her own barn to 'babysit' her sister in law and her two boys when Henry moved to another state for job.

Life was tough for Carrie, but when she'd eventually surrender herself to God, he seems to show her a way out...
Comments:

I enjoyed the story every much, especially the writing style. Certain parts were heart warming. When I read about how selfless Carrie was to help the in need despite her awful situation, it reminds me of someone who was as selfless and noble as her,(I miss that person)! The  part where Griff's father confessed to Griff was tears jerking too. "Beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning" is an excellent say!

I rated this book 4 stars out of 5 stars since it really make my days!
