Category: | FICTION - JUVENILE: Religious, Visionary & Metaphysical: Religious Synopsis: Addy Davidson, an eleventh grade inconspicuous girl was chosen to represent her high school, the Tampa Christian School in the Book of Love reality show. Out of the 100 eligible contestants over the United States, only one winner will be chosen to be the Fist Son's senior prom date! The competition was tough. Since Addy triumphed the talent show by playing Kazoo and topped others in the quiz obstacle challenge, all the girls (except her roommate a.k.a best friend Kara McKormick) were turning their backs on her. On top of that, she was also despised by the show's director, Hank Banner, who orchestrated the whole gauntlets to go against her! At first Addy was entirely pissed off when the principal chose her, but as she got along with people and having more time with the maker(Whenever she was in trouble), she realized her mission was to follow her late parents' footsteps, which was to share her faith in God with others, as a little missionary in the show... Comments: I enjoyed reading this book, it's such a fun and light read(I could probably finish it in one sitting)! Even though there were some points didn't really make sense to me, for instance: When Jonathon the First son officially thanked Uncle Mike for saving him from the assassination. This would probably put Uncle Mike in danger, God knows other anti- Yankees might bear grudge and set plot to get rid of him instead... however since this is just a fiction, anything goes! I rated this book 4 out of 5 stars. I'm sure will recommend this casual read to my friends, after all it's nice to go with a cup of good coffee. It was a interesting and meaningful trip, which on the way they sharing kindness with people in needs, especially Richie of Littleton shelter, Mike and Penny of dilapidated Moose Lodge.
The story has a lovely at the mean time interjected with delicious and sultry bed scenes.
Comments:
I rated this book 3 out of 5 stars. I personally prefer story that focuses on one particular romance instead of alternate each chapter with 3 pairs of couples. The starting was rather slow, storyline kind of dull to my liking. To me, it seems things only getting interesting after ¾ of the book. Nevertheless, it still a good read during this festive season!

Category: FICTION - JUVENILE: Family & Everyday Life: Love & Romance
Justina Griffith and her best friend Hailey used to be Hungtington High's infamous kisser. However, ever since haunted by certain rueful incident eight years ago, Justina'd stopped her kissing possession(not until she found her boyfriend material). When Justina's boy-friend(unofficial) Ian Clark invited her to their high school prom night, she got exasperated on planning her Lip Lock Bliss with him. But lucks kept slipping from her fingers! After a few uneventful incidents, her prom dress totally ruined and so was her date with Ian. There were some misunderstanding between the two love birds and Justina eventually ended up at a 7-eleven store, hungry and exhausted. She met Gilda(the cashier) and Donna(one of the customer), who were kind to treat her and patiently listened to her not so fortunate story...
The whole novel was written in Justina's POV, alternately the chapter flashed back on what happened on her prom night. At some point, the story was hilarious, especially when Justina conned the poor police officer Andrew Bazeer and the dog swapping incident with Brian Sontag. When finally every thing pieced together, the whole story sum up as a humorous, sweet and charm romance! This is certainly a fun and relaxing read!

Category: | FICTION - JUVENILE: Action & Adventure (incl. Interactive Adventures): Action & Adventure The stage was set during Civil War, when United State was under the ruling of Abraham Lincoln. Fifteen years old Madeline Eve Bradford and her father Summoner Bradford sided Union(The Yankee), fought against the Confederate, the Rebel that despised and mistreated the slave(The Negros). While she was boarding with her Aunt Salome, she also met Jake Whitestone (or PAN the journalist), who she had an inclination to. Jake was later joined her as a Union spy.The first half of the book revolves around Madeline and her journey to become an Alias, spies who worked undercover. The second half of the book started her effort of providing intelligence with her special ability(Photographic memory and distinct hearing) for the Union. I reckon I have not much interest in Politics nor battlefields. Hence this novel appears rather dull to me. Sad to say that I failed to connect with the story and the characters. Since it was categorized under adventure and action, it was rather a disappointment to me. I love adventures which I didn't find much in this book(Sigh). Nevertheless this book allow me to learn more about the historical Civil War. |

Review of Lonestar Angel (Lonestar #4) by Colleen Coble
.
First of all, I must share the main character's synopsis (which I loved so much) of this book that he narrated to his beloved lost child...
This is one of a sentimental and touching christian novel by Colleen Coble. Story revolved around Clay and Eden, both divorced after the kidnapping of their beloved 6 weeks old daughter, Brianna(Who was known died after the incident). Five years later, Clay sought Eden's help after received an anonymous letter about their daughter's whereabouts, who happened still alive and being temporary placed in Bluebird Ranch(sort like a foster home).
They pretended a married couple(which literally they were), applied for the ranch's counselor job with only 1 mission, which was to identify their daughter out of the four orphans in the ranch. The story is full of suspense and excitements, it also emphasizes the importance of treasuring and value the people we loves. A must read for book lover!

Head-on Heart (Cheek) by Anne Tourney
Story revolved around 2 stepsisters and their lover, a guitarist cum rocker(sort of like a love triangle). Amity the older sis volunteered to join her bro in law(Daniel) on his journey of seeking his maiden guitar(which he had sold out of desperation), while her sister(Daniel's wife, Heather) backed off the plan.

At 1st, I thought of giving the story a 4 stars. Pathetically towards half of the story, I got flustered since it showed only plainly lust, betrayals, disloyalty and in commitment between the 3 characters. I threw it a 2 stars until around the end... when Amity won the hearts of the town people at outskirt of Vegas, I decided to give it a 3 stars.
